Every year around my birthday I like to create something for Hello Stella Fibres that's special and limited edition. This year we are having a true and proper winter. It's been snowy and so cold outside that your face hurts (today is Jan 21 and it's currently -22 C).
I have been embracing winter and trying to romanticize the darkest, coldest months. Lighting lamps, candles, drinking copious amounts of tea and hot chocolate (extra marshmallows!) I'm also trying to take care of myself, physically, mentally and emotionally.
This box was created with the idea of slowing down and taking time to take care of me in a small, cozy way. What are some of my favourite rituals to set a cozy scene, what are some of my favourite things to feel my best?
There are two different box sizes, thanks to my lovely patrons over on Patreon they pointed out that while they love some of the items they didn't need them and that's a great takeaway.
Each box will feature my East Coast PEI Wild Wool - a woollen spun 2-ply heavy DK/Light Worsted weight wool. You will have the choice of selecting which natural base colour you would like: cream, light grey, dark grey or barber pole.*
I have also taken the time to curate some special items to include in the box. The larger box will contain: a set of hand-poured tapered candles, a custom box of matches, a handcrafted salve, and a trinket dish.
The smaller box will include everything minus the trinket dish.
You will also find a set of postcards inside the box, one with pattern recommendations and the other will feature a cozy recipe submitted by one of my patrons - tried and true and perfect for the colder months!
* You will also have the option to add additional skeins to your box if you would like more than just the 1 skein that is included.
This is a preorder, the yarn is already set aside but to ensure that I order the right amount of hand-crafted items, I will wait to order them once the preorder has closed.
I estimate that the boxes will be ready to ship by the end of February.
